The Camp is situated on the north-western tip of Chief’s Island, in the Moremi Game Reserve, an area known for its excellent game viewing. This is seasonal delta, with the floodwaters entering the area in June or July, and lasting some 4 to 5 months. This is also where black, and white, rhino have been re-introduced, and can thus been seen in their natural habitat.
Accommodation is in 12 luxury ‘bush pavilions’, each of which features a thatched roof, spacious seating area, en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower as well as a private game viewing deck with hammock and deck chairs. In addition, there is a generous mosquito net on a four-poster bed, writing desk, mini bar and ceiling fan
The main lodge area consists of the lounge, dining area, library, and extensive viewing deck, and has been built under canopy of shade giving trees. The viewing deck is split-level, with the lower section housing the swimming pool. In high season, you can indulge in spa treatments offered in the poolside treatment Sala.
You can explore the area on extensive game drives, which are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon. Game viewing can be exceptional, as in addition to the chance of seeing rhino, there are wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard in the area, along with an abundance of plains game. In high season, with the increased water levels, there are also mokoro (dug-outs) excursions, where you get to explore the waterways of the delta.
