The Xugana Lagoon is arguably one of the most beautiful permanent water sites in the Okavango Delta. The lodge is on Xugana Island, which overlooks the lagoon, which is in a private concession, neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve.
Accommodation is in 8 elevated reed and thatch chalets, which allows for excellent views of the lagoon, and grasslands. The chalets are en-suite, and have private viewing decks.
An open Boma and al fresco dining area overlooks the Lagoon, while the lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the natural canopy of ebony and mangosteen trees. The swimming pool is situated in the centre of the island.
Activities are designed to allow you to explore by motorboat or mokoro (dug-out), combined with walking on the nearby islands of the concession. Birding opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger is also offered as an activity at the lodge.
