Day 1

Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport, where our representative will meet you in the Arrivals Hall, and accompany you to the Air Botswana check in counters for your flight to Maun Airport.  Flight BP212 departs Johannesburg at 10h10, arriving in Maun at 12h10.  Check in time will be 1.5 hours prior to departure time.

Arrive at Maun Airport, where, having cleared customs and immigration and collected your luggage, you will be met in the Arrivals Hall by a representative of Delta Air, who will escort you to the light aircraft for your charter flight into Oddballs Enclave Camp, 20 minutes away, across the Okavango Delta.

On arrival at the Oddballs Enclave airstrip you will be met by the Guides who will be looking after you during your stay at Oddballs Enclave (one Guide for every two guests).

Oddballs Enclave Camp is a relaxed, informal camp where people from many countries, cultures and age groups have the opportunity to experience one of Africa's last wildlife oases.  Oddballs' Enclave is situated on Noga Island, and on the other side of the main channel is the Moremi Game Reserve and Chiefs' Island, which is a beautiful area to explore during your stay.

At Oddballs Enclave you will be accommodated in rustic walk in tents with basic en-suite facilities, set on wooden platforms.  The Camp has only 5 tents in total.

After lunch - (at Oddballs Enclave ALL your meals are included in your Tour; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as well as all your teas and coffees, but you will be required to pay for additional drinks), you will go out with your Guides for either a mokoro excursion or a walking safari.

Day 2

Your Guides are men of the swamp, born and bred.  From your base camp your Guides will take you out on Walking Safaris - truly the only way to go out on safari, enabling you to be 'at one' with the environment, and obtain stunning views of both the wildlife and bird life of the Okavango Delta. Your Guides will be happy to track and stalk particular animals that you are interested in seeing.

An early morning wake-up, and after some coffee an early morning walk in the Moremi Game Reserve, returning after three hours or so for a hearty breakfast. During the heat of the day you can relax, and then after lunch another excursion by mokoro into the Moremi Game Reserve. Dining by the light of the camp fire under the canopy of the 'African Sky' completes your day. If you are particularly energetic you can go out on a longer walking safari taking a picnic breakfast or lunch with you.

Day 3

After a morning activity and breakfast, you will be chartered from Oddballs Enclave Camp to Sankuyo Bush Camp, 20 minutes away.

Tucked away in the eastern corner of a private community-owned concession, under a canopy of acacia trees, lies Sankuyo Bush Camp.

A thatched lounge and dining area, supported by old hardwoods, looks out onto a water hole frequented by predators and game of all sorts.

Six walk-in tents, especially designed for the prevailing conditions, and each with an en-suite bathroom, complete the picture of an ‘old Africa’-type safari camp, with the emphasis on outdoor living and closeness to nature. Large, hot buckets are hoisted on demand for your outdoor shower, hammocks beckon from the shade, and your delicious meals may well be prepared for you by Tsogang, who runs the camp with her husband ‘Doctor’, one of the most hospitable, charming and competent guides you are likely to encounter anywhere. Famous amongst the hard-bitten Africa regulars, Doctor has the well-earned reputation of being able to find it, whatever it is, where no one suspected it was. His uncanny abilities in the bush promise visitors a spectacular game experience.

As if that were not enough, the concession hosts the Botswana Predator Conservation Project, with established programmes of research into lion, spotted hyena, cheetah and leopard currently under way. Guests may, by special arrangement, avail themselves of the expertise of researchers and enjoy specialist talks on these fascinating animals – and in rare cases actually accompany the researchers into the field in search of their subjects.

Sankuyo is not just about predators however. The area boasts a host of plains game, elephant, and in particular giraffe, which occur here in densities not often found elsewhere. Birding too is excellent, especially for raptors, and the rare Crimson-breasted shrike is commonly seen.

Day 4

The area around Sankuyo Bush Camp offers magnificent scenery and spectacular wildlife. Activities focus on day as well as night game drives with spotlights. All game activities are accompanied by professional and experienced guides as well as a tracker. Guests can expect to see a lot of predator activity in the area including lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah and hyena as well as zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, kudu, impala and many nocturnal species.

The area boasts a host of plains game, elephant, and in particular giraffe, which occur here in densities not often found elsewhere. Birding too is excellent, especially for raptors, and the rare Crimson-breasted shrike is commonly seen.

Day 5

After a morning activity and brunch, your pilot will collect you from Sankuyo Camp, and he will charter you back to Maun Airport in time to connect with Air Botswana, flight BP211, departing Maun at 14h30, arriving in Johannesburg at 16h40.

Included: Scheduled Air Botswana flights from Johannesburg to Maun and return, air charters from Maun to the camps and back, en-suite tented accommodation, all meals, local drinks, guided activities, park fees.
